Andalusia: a land that has entered my heart.
Bike travel diary.
I did not choose the destination, she chose me. Young retired, I met this hospitable land towards the end of last millennium. A week of holidays in Mijas, on the Costa del Sol in a beautiful resort but a little too …. “English” (for better or for worse).
Then after several other annual visits, the decisive turning point: a rented apartment and the beginning of a journey in an “unknown” land so beautiful and lovable.
I will not describe only the beauty of this fascinating land rich in history, traditions, joy, life, but I will try to take you ideally to enjoy the beauty of this wonderful land.
For those coming to Andalusia from the north of Italy or the Canton of Ticino the quickest and cheapest way to get there is the plane that leaves from Milan Malpensa 2 and arrives in Malaga in just over 2 hours of pleasant flight.
Routine airport operations are fast and the new Pablo Picasso airport is a unique feature. In a few minutes you are out of the main exit.
And already you can breathe the air of the mythical Andalusia.
The coast of Malaga forms, with that of Marbella and the internationally known “Costa del Sol”, from the temperate climate, the scarce rains, the sea breeze, the absence of humidity, the great variety of landscapes. The coast of Malaga is formed by wide beaches, semi-hidden coves and small towns where the visitor will find excellent hotel services and tourist apartments together with a wide range of leisures.
